Free cohabitation agreement according to Law 3719/2018 is the agreement of two adult heterosexual persons with which they organize their cohabitation (cohabitation agreement), which is surrounded by the type of notarial deed. The validity of the agreement starts from the submission of a copy of the notarial document to the registrar of their place of residence, which is registered in a special book of the Registry.

The conclusion of a cohabitation agreement is not allowed: a) if there is a marriage or cohabitation agreement of the persons concerned or of one of them, b) between blood relatives in a straight line unrestrictedly and laterally up to the fourth degree, straight line indefinitely and c) between the one who adopted and the one who was adopted.
